If you haven’t purchased a block of land yet, we can offer ideas and suggestions to find the most suitable option for your needs. Our in-house team of skilled professionals will work with you to design and build a new home tailored to your individual requirements.
Soil & Contour Tests
Planning to build a house in NSW? You’ll need soil and contour tests to ensure a solid foundation and confirm that your chosen plan fits your block.
Design Your Home
Once it’s determined that your house design fits on your block of land, we proceed with drafting full working drawings, including the site plan, floor plan, side elevations, and electrical plan. Our consultants assist you in finding your ideal home design, whether single or double storey. We customize our plans or start from scratch to create your perfect home. After capturing your requirements, we’ll prepare a tender estimate with no obligation to proceed if you’re not completely satisfied.
Prepare and Present the “CBS Genuine Price”
Upon deciding to progress and paying the tender fee, we prepare a detailed Tender. This involves:
- A site inspection of your block
- A soil test to ensure correct slab design
- A contour survey to accurately site your home and confirm site costs
- A pre-site assessment by our hydraulic engineer
- A compliance check to ensure adherence to council regulations
You’ll receive architectural drawings, the CBS Developments Genuine Price Tender, and a detailed list of inclusions.
Pre-Construction
We lodge your plans with the local authority, a process that can take from four weeks to four months, depending on local procedures. Our dedicated staff will guide you through every step of the selection process, ensuring your dream becomes a reality. This includes kitchen, tiling, carpet, bathroom and kitchen accessories, staircase design, and electrical layout selections. Once confirmed, we issue your building contract.
Colour Selection
While your plans are in council, choose the colour scheme for your new home. This phase is exciting but requires good communication between the builder and customer.
Construction
Your Construction Supervisor provides weekly progress updates. After plan approval and colour selection, construction begins with regular site inspections at critical points. We inform your neighbours about the construction through our Neighbourhood Pledge. We limit our builds to 100 homes per year, with each supervisor managing a maximum of 10 builds to ensure dedicated focus on each project.
Hand-Over
Prior to completion, we conduct an independent inspection to identify final touches. Your Construction Supervisor will walk you through your home, addressing any concerns. After a final inspection, you’re ready to move in. We offer a 13-week warranty and maintenance period to address any issues promptly.
